RISC-V / Computer Architecture

The future
of silicon
starts with
architecture.

MiNTs researches and designs processor microarchitectures, with a focus on RISC-V. Through implementation, verification, and performance analysis, we explore technologies for next-generation chip development.

Direction

Research for the next generation of chips.

  • Open

    Contribute to hardware development

Building on the openness of RISC-V, we publish what we learn from design and verification as code and technical articles, contributing to hardware and chip development.

  • Speed

    Keep pace with faster development

As open EDA tools become more widely available, demand is growing for shorter turnaround times across chip development, including ASICs. By working across design and verification, we aim to develop chips more efficiently.

  • People

Grow the number of designers in Japan

By sharing what we learn through hands-on work, we aim to help more designers, both inside and outside MiNTs, develop an understanding of the full process from logic design to physical implementation.

Applied

Applied work, in the field.

Alongside our research, we develop AI and application software used in the field.

  • P&L and balance sheet analysis system for store owners

A web system that structures figures from photographed paper financial statements using OCR and AI, and compares metrics across stores.

    OCR / Next.js / FastAPI

  • Task management app for retail stores

An Android tablet app with full offline support, designed so that store staff can use it without hesitation.

Android / Kotlin / Offline DB

Joint research and technical collaboration

Collaborate with us

We welcome inquiries about joint research and technical collaboration. We do not currently manufacture semiconductors or supply mass-produced chips.
